A photographic journey telling the story of our tours to date.
Summer 2015 – Rotterdam to Northern Spain 12 Weeks, 3000 Km.
Our first cycle tour after I retired. We set off from our daughter Tavia’s house in Rotterdam to follow rivers south. This would take us along the Dutch canals to the River Meuse in Belgium, then along that river to Verdun. We would then cross to the Moselle and follow that to the Rhine.
The Rhine would take us to the Swiss border and we would continue south through Switzerland and Italy to the Liguarian Coast. Back into France and finally to Barcelona.
Rotterdam to Verdun
We left Rotterdam in the rain and had a wet Holland, a dry Belgium and a great ride along the River Meuse into France and up to Verdun
Verdun to Basel
Basel to Monaco
Monaco to Barcelona
Spring and Summer 2016 5 Months 7000Km
After spending the Winter in the Andalusian town of Vejer de la Frontera, we started touring again. This time we wanted to spend a lot of time in Spain followed by a ride through France and up to Rotterdam.
We started with a 6 week lap of Andalucia.
After our Andalucian loop we set off north to follow the Via de la Plata to Santiago
From Santiago we got wet in Galicia, just like being in Wales, and then turned east across the meseta of northern Spain.
